Better you than me, I don’t miss snow in the least. Jason recently posted..January #cultivate2012
My last year of snow had been 1996 when the Blizzard of 96 hit. We had 4 to 5 feet of snow and a week off of school. I was elated. That summer my mother got a transfer to Florida and moved us. For 14 long years, I suffered under the oppressive Floridian sun. Last year when we moved into my in-laws’ house in Northwest Georgia, the whole town practically shut down a week later because we got 8 inches of snow. My kids hadn’t seen snow before, and they weren’t the only ones cavorting in the fluffy white blanket on the ground. 😉
it’s pretty, and i like it for a while. mostly i like the rich, piercing quietness it brings. wholly jeanne recently posted..sticky note: following the cloth crumbs
Yes, it’s pretty. “piercing quietness” is quite a way to describe it! What I love best about snow is that the days and evenings are so much brighter! I crave light. Always.

It’s the quietest form of precipitation. You can’t hear it falling softly to the ground. It’s gracefully lovely.
The white blanket covering the trees and the ground definitely brightens winter.
