Gratitude # 12

To be quite honest, I’m finding this gratitude series to be extremely helpful. I’m very happy with this series. On to my gratitude:

1. I am grateful for a ride I received this afternoon when it was about 90 degrees with 80% humidity (or so it felt).
2. I am grateful to know that it can’t stay summer forever. (That’s right, Mr. Heat, you’re going down sooner or later!)
3. I am grateful that tomorrow marks 37 weeks.
4. I am grateful for soft pillows — so very, very grateful!
5. I am grateful for these “practice” contractions that help get me ready for the “real” thing.

Gratitude # 10

1. I am grateful that I finally did get back to sleep last night after having that silly wake-up-hungry-and-wired moment.
2. I am grateful that today has been all about pencil-pushing and Office Space type things.
3. I am grateful for the stashed can of ginger ale, which helped diminish the effects of that queso dip. (Note: if the cheese doesn’t need to be refrigerated, it’s probably not very good for you or your digestive track — no matter how much the TV commercial lead you to believe so.)
4. I am grateful to see my tree at working growing more new foliage.
5. I am grateful that I’ve had time to clean up my desk drawers after neglecting them for more pressing tasks last week.

Gratitude # 9

1. I am grateful that Monday morning won’t be an insane dash to finish last minute details (and I’m sure my bosses are even more grateful for this fact than I am).
2. I am grateful that we have a ton of great sales at Publix this week. Mmm, yummy food.
3. I am grateful that breakfast came out so well today. There’s nothing quite like freshly baked biscuits with butter and strawberry jam.
4. I am grateful that we should be getting another cold front by the weekend.
5. I am grateful for the awesome mommy-daughter time I had with Tati yesterday at the 50th Celebration Luncheon.

Gratitude # 8

I think I need to start this day off with some gratitude. I might not make it through lunchtime if I don’t stop to appreciate the good things in life first.

1. I am grateful that the 50th Anniversary Celebration at my department will only happen once — this weekend.
2. I am grateful for the beautiful weather this cold front brought us.
3. I am grateful that I’ve made it to 36 weeks today. One more week, and we’ll hit the magical “full term” status.
4. I am grateful for the knowledge that I’m going to be enjoying a delicious glass of rosé wine around the end of this month (unless Mr. Pumpkin decides he’d rather have a November birthday).
5. I am grateful for being able to make piece with pushing back an unreasonable deadline I had set for the next newsletter.

1. I am grateful that I’ve gotten that 50th Anniversary booklet off to the printers finally.
2. I am grateful to hear that my mother-in-law is doing much better. (She has been in the hospital with complications from the flu, and things were looking very grim for a day or two. She’s still not “out of the woods,” but we’re all cautiously optimistic.)
3. I am grateful for being tagged by an awesome blogger (see Nicki on my blogroll).
4. I am grateful for the forecasted cooler lows heading our way — hello, 60 degree temperatures!
5. I am grateful that I’ll be considered “full-term” in one week and five days. We’re almost there, little Pumpkin!

Gratitude # 6

1. I am super grateful for the extra gifts I’ve been receiving for the baby.
2. I am grateful for the baby shower my co-workers so graciously planned for me this past Friday — can you believe it took three babies to get a baby shower? Third time’s the charm for sure!
3. I am grateful for the current fashion trends leaning towards empire-waisted clothing because most maternity clothes are hideously ugly.
4. I am grateful for the yogurt sitting the fridge, waiting for me to eat it.
5. I am grateful for reading that I’m “bubble-worthy,” according to Nicki. I smiled so big when I read that.
