The Prose of an Electrate Mind

I’m grateful that we have a place to gather. I’m grateful for the memories of times we’ve gathered here, too.

I’m thankful for this beautiful playground my children have been playing on for nearly 5 years. We don’t visit it as often as I’d like, but we make plenty of good family memories here.

I’m grateful that after plenty of rain we had the opportunity to enjoy local amenities. The clouds gave way to blue skies and sunshine, if only for passing moments, and warmed up a November day.

I’m thankful for random chances I capture tiny magic, like this little rainbow glare on the lens.

I’m thankful that my favorite person knows how to grill a great meal and that we always somehow seem to have enough to go around.

I’m thankful for beautiful memories with my favorite person.

I’m grateful for a hot bath filled with salts, scents, and soothing bubbles. Sometimes, you just need to soak away your troubles and let your body sweat out toxins.

I’m thankful for warm bowls of homemade soup. They may not cure all that ails you, but they certainly do warm you from the inside and comfort your soul.

I’m grateful for the farmers who grow and raise our food. I’m also thankful that they have horses and ponies for my inner child to enjoy.

I’m thankful this little pup has been a part of our family for nearly eight years. He has small dog quirks, but he’s changed my mind about small dogs.
