I had a different idea for this final post, but I’ve been feeling sick. So, I’m grateful that I have a day off after fighting through my cold the past week.
I’m thankful for opportunities to shake off the old and grow something new. Every year when the leaves fall off the trees, the current year is shedding to make room for the next year.
I’m grateful for this time of year. We bake cookies, spend time curled up together watching classic specials and movies, watch the delight of our children, and celebrate.
I’m thankful for my family and friends and for all the things we have. We’ve had more, and we’ve had less. Because I know what it’s like to go without, I’m grateful to have.
I’m thankful for tea in all its many variations. I enjoy black tea with a splash of sweetened vanilla almond milk, green tea with a spoonful of orange blossom honey, and herbal infusions straight or with honey. Tea soothes me.
