Here I will share some of my favorite recipes — except for my cookies. Those are a secret that will only be shared with my children. 😉
Mascarpone dip:
*mascarpone cheese
*pure vanilla extract
Whisk vanilla into mascarpone cheese until well combine. Serve with fresh fruit.
French Toast:
*1 egg
*1/2 – 1 cup of milk
*1 tsp pure vanilla extract
*1 tsp ground cinnamon
*1/2 tsp ground cloves
*1/4 tsp nutmeg
*1 dash ginger
*cooking spray
*8 slices of bread
In a bowl, combine all ingredients except for cooking spray. Whisk or beat well. Spray cooking spray onto skillet (cooking side, please). Heat skillet to medium heat. Dip the bread into the egg mixture so that the mixture moistens both sides of the bread, but don’t let it get too soggy! Place the bread into the skillet and cook for about 3-5 minutes per side (cooking times may vary). Serve hot with maple syrup. For a twist, add a slice of cheese to the cooked top of each slice and add a slice of ham (or turkey, if you prefer) between. Continue cooking, then serve the french toast sandwiches with maple syrup.
